Walker County operates 18 fire stations within the county. Seven of those stations are staffed by career firefighters. Those career stations are located in Rock Spring, Chickamauga, Flintstone/Chattanooga Valley, Fairview, Villanow, Cane Creek and near Kensington. Our other locations are staffed by valuable volunteers.

Walker County Fire Rescue conducts fire safety inspections of existing buildings and structures, reviews plans for proposed buildings and issues certificates of occupancy. A copy of the fee schedule for inspection fees, as well as fines for miscellanous fire code violations can be found here. These fees were adopted December 7, 2006.
