The Walker County Board of Commissioner will gather on Thursday, July 9th for their monthly meeting. Some of the topics on this month’s agenda include:
- Public hearing on proposed FY2027 Budget
- Public hearing on Ordinance to clarify language in the planning code concerning professional services, offices, online sales and auto brokerages
- Resolution to establish a temporary moratorium on data centers
- Resolution to prohibit county employees from purchasing surplus items
- Purchase orders for a generator for the Sheriff’s Office, repairs to the Local Government Services building in Rock Spring, and repairs to the Cedar Grove Community Center
The Board meets at 6:30 p.m. at Courthouse Annex IV, located at 201 S Duke Street in LaFayette. The meeting will be streamed live on the county’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
The August 6th meeting will also include a public hearing on the proposed FY2027 budget.
