GDOT Seeks Public Comment on Bridge Rehabilitation Projects in Walker County

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) proposes to rehabilitate two bridges in Walker County in the future and has placed information about those two projects online for public review.

The work involves bridges on SR 193 and SR 341 over Chattanooga Creek. The work will consist of overlaying the bridge deck, joint replacement, patching spalls, encasing piles, epoxy injection of cracks, and painting beams.

The bridge rehabilitation would require an offsite detour for approximately two weeks during construction, which wouldn’t occurred into fiscal year 2024.
