Survey Says! Community Panel Weighs in on Strengths and Priorities

Walker County Government recently invited residents to join a new community panel to provide us with quick input via one-minute surveys that will be issued every few months on important local issues. The first survey, which asked questions about strengths and priorities, was launched last week and the results are already in.

Survey questions focused on areas where residents are highly satisfied with the county, not satisfied, and aspects that have a high or low importance level among residents. Other responses centered around how to spend new sales tax revenue and potential projects the county should consider investing in.

While lowering property taxes and improving county roads received a lot of response, we invite you to review the data yourself. The results of the first community panel survey can be found here. Results can be filtered by age, male/female and other demographics. The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 6%.

Also, if you missed out on this first survey and would like to provide your input next time, you can still join the community panel by registering at https://www.flashvote.com/walkercountyga or call 775-235-2240 to participate by phone or text only.
