Hang gliding is a fun way to experience the outdoors and Walker County offers an excellent opportunity for it! A launch point for experienced hang gliders is located at the top of Pigeon Mountain, along with a landing zone at the bottom.
A high vertical launch point made up of majestic rock formations makes for a great launch area. The launch point is about 70 feet wide and can hold 2 to 3 gliders.
