Final Walker Rocks

Lula Lake Land Trust is an 8,000 acre watershed located on Lookout Mountain. Lula Lake provides visitors with an opportunity to hike, visit a picturesque waterfall and even cycle on some trails.

One of the highlights of the land trust is the Chattanooga Connector Trail, which helps join several areas in North Georgia and Tennessee. The trail is 4.1 miles long and serves as a link to many other trails in the area, including Cloudland Canyon State Park, Five Points, National Park Service trails, and the Tennessee Riverwalk.

Another highlight is the 120 foot “Lula Falls,” which is about a 30 minute hike one way from the core preserve entry point.

Lula Lake is open to the public on Open Gate Days. December through April, Open Gate Days occur on the first and last Saturday of each month. May through November, Open Gate Days occur on the first and last weekend of each month.

Reservations are now required to visit Lula Lake during Open Gate Days. A total of 85 parking spots will be available via an online reservation system located at lulalake.org/events.  The cost to visit is $15 per car, which is a conservation use fee that goes back into the preservation of Lula Lake.

The Moonshine Trails are another exciting path located at Lula Lake Land Trust. The trail adds an additional 4 miles to the land trust and offers an experience filled with features of the natural landscape like rock bridges and boulders along with a few man-made features.
