ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER (opened 6/29/22)
The Animal Control Officer is responsible for responding to animal complaints from county residents, along with domestic cat and dog bites and public health and safety issues that are animal related.


E-911 COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER – DISPATCHER (opened 6/10/22)
Applicant must be able to receive and interpret information through telecommunications equipment, and verbally and accurately dispatch that information in a timely manner to the proper authority.


ANIMAL SERVICES DIRECTOR (opened 6/9/22)
The Animal Services Director under the direction and leadership of the Chairman/CEO is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the Animal Shelter and Animal Control.  Direct supervision of the Animal Shelter Manager and Animal Control Manager.  Accountable for department budget, and compliance with HR Personnel Policies.  Compliance with all laws regulating animal humane treatment and welfare of animals in the department’s care.


KENNEL TECHNICIAN – Level 1 (opened 4/12/22)
This position will begin with basic duties such sorting, cleaning and assisting with animals. Good customer service is also a must. This is an entry level, hourly position, but is full-time with benefits.


CIVIC CENTER CAMPUS CUSTODIAN (opened 3/15/22)
This position is responsible for cleaning buildings and high touch surfaces, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy in county buildings, as well as vacuuming and buffing floors, shampooing carpets, emptying trash receptacles, replacing the lining of trash cans and fogging buildings.


GENERAL LABORER (opened 3/15/22)
The General Laborer is an entry level position that provides manual labor support to team members of the Public Works Department.  The General Laborer’s work schedule is 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, but is required to report for inclement weather and other emergencies on occasion that could be outside of the normal work schedule.


FLEET TECHNICIAN Level 3 (opened 2/28/22)
This Fleet Technician position provides general mechanical services to the county Fleet at the direction of the Shop Supervisor and Technician IV.  Fleet Technicians work a regular schedule, but will have to report for severe weather and other emergencies on occasion that could be outside of their normal work schedule.


HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER (opened 1/24/22)
The Human Resources Manager effectively provides support for all departments in accordance with the Chairperson’s objectives and evaluates all administrative, management and operational policies and procedures, implementing revisions as needed to ensure that the county’s best business practices conform to all applicable state and federal laws.


TRANSIT DRIVER (opened 12/8/21- full and part-time positions available)
This position operates a gas or diesel 14 passenger transit van on routes for the transit department, providing excellent customer service to the passengers served by the department.   A thorough knowledge and compliance with  all federal, state, city, and county safety regulations and policies is mandatory. This position will also perform a number of skilled and unskilled tasks in the custodial care and maintenance of the buses, equipment, building and grounds of the transit department.


GROUNDS MAINTENANCE STAFF (opened 11/18/21)
The Grounds Maintenance Staff member helps manage the lawn care and landscaping around county buildings and property, as well as minor building repairs and improvements.
