Walker County offers vouchers to residents for free spay/neuter services for their companion animals. The vouchers are accepted at participating veterinarian offices in Walker County and will also cover the cost of microchipping and rabies vaccination.

We issue 40 vouchers each month on a first come, first served basis. In order to receive a voucher, a resident must make a request by calling the Walker County Animal Shelter at 706-375-2100 (Press 2). If no one answers, our staff is busy helping other residents. Please leave a message and someone will return your call.

Those who receive a voucher will be responsible for making an appointment with a participating veterinarian and transporting their dog or cat for care.
