Data Center Study Committee to Hold First Meeting August 27th

The first meeting of the Walker County Data Center Development Standards Study Committee will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, at the Walker County Civic Center, 10052 Highway 27 in Rock Spring.

The purpose of this committee is to review the County’s Code of Ordinances regarding data centers, including allowable zoning districts, setbacks, buffers, noise, lighting, environmental impacts, compatibility with surrounding land uses, and other potential regulations.

Regular meetings will be held every other Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at the Civic Center. Meetings are open to the public.
