Commissioner Shannon Whitfield issued Proclamations in support of Census Pledge Week, Down Syndrome Awareness and Multiple Myeloma Awareness. The meeting also included the signing of the 2020 road paving contract and review of February department statistics.
March 21st is Down Syndrome Day in Walker County
Walker County residents are encouraged to wear brightly colored socks and share pictures of those socks on social media with the hashtag #LotsOfSocks joining a global effort to get the world talking about Down syndrome.
