There is light snow coverage on roads across the county, creating slick travel conditions.

The National Weather Service has extended the Winter Weather Advisory until 7:00 p.m. tonight. Total snow accumulations of 2″ are possible. Any snow is expected to rapidly stick to roads and other surfaces due to temperatures in the 20s. Gusty winds could result in areas of blowing snow and poor visibility.

Residents are urged to stay indoors until conditions improve this afternoon. If you must go outside, dress in layers. Several layers of clothes will keep you warmer than a single heavy coat. Cover exposed skin to reduce your risk of frostbite or hypothermia. Gloves, a scarf, and a hat will keep you from losing your body heat.
