Walker County’s Human Resources Department is responsible for developing job descriptions, posting available positions, compiling applicant information, coordinating candidate interviews, processing new hires, assisting with the benefits process and overseeing federal and state mandated reporting.
Human Resources also oversees the Drug Free Workplace program, unemployment, background checks, workers compensation, employment policy and federal mandates like FMLA, ADA and EEO.
